Rajshahi has been the most glorious
period of Bengal's Pala dynasty. It is famous for pure
silk, mangoes and lichies. Attractive silk products
are cheaper. A visit to Varendra Research Museum at
the heart of the city would be most rewarding. There
are also a number of ancient mosques, shrines and temples
in and around Rajshahi. Connected with Dhaka by road,
rail, river and air. Rajshahi is located on the bank
of the river Padma.
Paharpur is a small village 5 km west
of Jamalganj railway station in the greater Rajshahi
district where the remains of the most important and
the largest known monastery, south of the Himalayas
has been excavated. This 8th century A.D. archaeological
find covers approximately an area of 27 acres of land.
Day
1: Arrival and Transfer to hotel in Dhaka , Check In,
free time, Night stay at hotel
Day
2: Morning Transfer to Rajshahi by A/C vehicle
(6 Hrs) which will arrive at noon. Drive to the Porjoton
Motel for check-in. After Lunch, drive about an hour
to the Temple city-Puthia to visit the Hindu Temples
--- the Govinda Temple and the Shiva temple. Also visit
the Varendra Research Museum upon return to Rajshahi.
After enjoying the Sunset on the bank of the river Padma
(Ganges), drive back to the motel in the evening for
dinner and overnight resting.
Day 3: Early morning, enjoy the sunrise
on the bank of the river Padma. After breakfast drive
to Dinajpur, Paharpur (125km / 2.5hrs) to visit the
Paharpur Buddhist monastery (8th -12th AD), the largest
single Vihara south of the Himalayas. Lunch will be
served in a picnic style under the sun. Guests can look
around the site in a relaxed atmosphere. In the afternoon
check-in to Porjoton motel for dinner and overnight
resting.
Day
4: After an early breakfast, visit the Dinajpur
Rajbari and the Kantaji's temple (1752AD), the most
ornate among the mediaeval temples of Bangladesh. Then
back to the motel for lunch. After lunch Transfer to
Dhaka, arrival in Dhaka (6 Hrs), check-in hotel in the
evening.

5: Breakfast, Dhaka city Tour, transfer to
Airport for departure
